Size Guide - Core
Core Braid Sizing
The Core Braid comes in three sizes. Body and shoulder volume are our starting points for sizing, but things like use/purpose, desired feel, and other body mechanics can affect fit.
- Regular: for people weighing between 100-300 lbs / 45-140 kgs. The Regular fits most individuals.
- XSmall/Narrow Shoulder: for people weighing 90-120 lbs (40-54 kgs) with proportionally narrow shoulders. The strap is 4 in. shorter than the Regular in the shoulders, but the same width.
- XLarge/Broad Shoulder: for people weighing 220+ lbs (100+ kgs) with proportionally broad shoulders. The strap is 4 in. longer than the Regular in the shoulders, but the same width. Note: For those around/above 350 lbs (160 kgs), the Leg Extra extensions may be added to allow for a more comfortable fit and more wrapping options.
What constitutes a narrow/regular/broad shoulder?
There is no specific measurement we use for this, because it’s about the overall shoulder volume (which is hard to measure and size for). We recommend instead considering your lived experience. For example, do you struggle with how shirts or backpacks fit your shoulders? Have people commented on your shoulder size? If these things don’t stand out to you, you likely can consider yourself “regular” for our purposes.
What is the difference in the sizes?
The difference in the Core Braid sizes are in the length of the shoulder loop, as marked in yellow on the image below. The XSmall/Narrow Shoulder has four inches less in the length than the Regular, and the XLarge/Broad Shoulder has four inches more in length than the Regular. The width of each strap is the same (three inches).

What if I’m in between two Core sizes?
For those who are on the cusp of two sizes, you likely can use either size, but might find one fits your needs better than the other. The chart below can help you determine if you should go with the smaller or larger size between the two.
